I’m Jenny. I’m a personal finance enthusiast with a unique blend of skills, education, and experience that makes me a perfect fit to help you with your financial needs. I have an MBA in Business and a Bachelor’s in Marketing, as well as 18 years’ professional experience in budget management — from marketing to finance to operations. In 2023, I formed Beyond Budgets because I’m passionate about empowering you with the knowledge, tools, and mindset to unlock your personal finance potential and achieve your goals.

By day, I work for a large global company, planning budgets, executing spending, and analyzing the differences. Through my career I’ve learned effective planning strategies and how to pivot when circumstances inevitably change.

In the life half of my work-life balance, I am a partner and parent who runs the household finances, and I’ve found the same concepts apply at home. We make our plans and then life happens, and we have to pivot.

In my 20s, my life took some unexpected turns. In the span of a single year, I became a widow, a first-time mom, and an unemployed roommate to my parents. Then at 30, I remarried, bought a house, gained two more children, and tackled over $100,000 in debt.

Nearly a decade later I’m debt-free with healthy investments, a fully funded emergency fund, and a passion for teaching the strategies and lessons I’ve learned through the years.

I’ve customized budgets in my work and in my life, for specific projects, specific seasons, and for the future. And as the seasons change and futures became the past, I’ve pivoted plans to overcome the life that happens.
